Elon Musk has officially announced that his highly anticipated cage fight with Mark Zuckerberg is indeed happening, and he plans to live-stream the event on his social media platform, X. Although Zuckerberg has yet to respond to Musk’s comments, the billionaire is forging ahead with his plans for the showdown.

In a recent post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Musk shared the exciting news with his followers, but he didn’t reveal the exact date of the fight. It appears that Musk is taking the battle seriously as he mentioned he is preparing by lifting weights throughout the day. He even shared a live-stream video on X where he demonstrated his workout routine, showing his dedication to the event.

What’s remarkable is that Musk is not letting the rivalry be merely about personal animosity. He stated that all proceeds from the cage fight will go to charity, specifically benefiting veterans. This gesture adds a meaningful dimension to the event, beyond the competition between two tech giants.

The origins of this duel date back to June when Musk criticized Meta’s plans to launch Threads. In response, Zuckerberg, who practices jiu-jitsu, accepted Musk’s challenge for the cage match, solidifying their determination to settle their differences physically.

According to Dana White, the head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), both tech leaders are “absolutely dead serious” about the fight. White revealed that he had personally spoken to both Musk and Zuckerberg about the event.

The anticipation surrounding the cage fight has reached such heights that there have been discussions about hosting it at the Colosseum in Rome. A senior Italian government official reached out to Zuckerberg regarding this idea. However, no official announcement has been made yet about the venue or the exact date of the fight.

At this point, neither Meta, X, nor Elon Musk have responded to media inquiries regarding the event. It remains to be seen when the cage fight will take place and whether it will live up to the expectations of their enthusiastic fans and supporters.
