Reportedly, the pilot, a 79-year-old male, suffered the medical emergency just before the plane’s descent. Massachusetts State Police swiftly responded to the distress call, revealing that the crash resulted in a forceful landing outside the designated runway, causing severe damage to the aircraft’s left wing.

For privacy reasons, the identities of the individuals on board have not been disclosed. Both the pilot and the passenger were promptly transported to a nearby hospital, with the former’s condition being deemed life-threatening. Subsequently, the pilot was airlifted to a prominent Boston hospital for urgent medical attention. Fortunately, the female passenger escaped unharmed and was released from a local hospital, as confirmed by the authorities.

The ill-fated flight originated from Westchester County, New York, earlier on that Saturday afternoon, piloted by a Connecticut resident with a fellow resident as the passenger. As investigators delve into the matter, both state police and the Federal Aviation Administration have initiated a thorough investigation into the crash. Following the incident, the aircraft was meticulously removed from the crash site and securely relocated to a designated area within the airport premises, while the scene of the accident was cleared by the state police.

Interestingly, this unfortunate event transpired almost 24 years after the tragic Piper crash that claimed the lives of John F. Kennedy Jr., his beloved wife Carolyn Bessette, and her sister Lauren Bessette, off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard.
